Oak furniture, in whichever way it comes, oak dining furniture, oak dining sets, oak chair sets, oak stools, oak mirrors, it’s there. And if you like oak, you can find what you are looking for, in oak.
Even at a time when people are trying to become more and more modern, even the most ardent modern designers may be willing to buy oak and find a place for it in their home.
Oak furniture is incredibly versatile. An oak dining room table for example can fit perfectly in a dining room which has an uber modern setting or a regal and older feel. You can buy oak tables which are slightly larger and bolder than most types, have a darker, richer colour; this demands attention as soon as you walk into a room.
Then again, oak bedroom furniture for example can be slight and sexy and sit in the space it needs to and do exactly what it has to.
Oak furniture has always been a favourite of mine and growing up I remember my grandmother and my mother both loving oak furniture in our homes. In fact, the oak bedroom furniture that my mother bought (decades ago) when I was a child is still in use today. I wouldn’t like to think how long my grandmother has her oak furniture, (a t.v set, a dining room piece, mirrors). But my point is: the longevity of it. Oak furniture lasts.
What, I think is most exciting about oak furniture at the moment, is how accessible it is. Buying oak furniture has firmly fitted into the modern way and you can purchase it online. And a great bargain as well! Simply googling – oak furniture – any number of websites come up. Of course buying furniture online isn’t as easy as saying buying a few baking tins or clothes. You are,
if you’re like me, buying furniture which will last in your home for years to come. Quite rightly, you want something that is firm and long lasting.
It is paramount therefore to check the: terms and conditions, deliveries, returns. Phone them up, see how helpful the customer service team is. Any serial bargain hunter like my self, happily goes into oak furniture stores and searches for what type of designs I think may suit my house and then like any addict I go in search of buying it from somewhere cheaper.
Of course, the general rules apply: if something looks to good to be true it probably is. If the price is too cheap so is the promise. Are you buying 100% solid oak? What is the delivery time? Never be afraid to ask these questions. If I can pass just one piece of advice, that I believe, would
help the state of customer services in this country is – phone companies up, ask them questions, if they are unhelpful or if you are met with the dreaded, ‘i’m not sure,’ demand an answer. Only then will the customer services in our beloved country get better.
